10 frutti che i cani possono mangiare

The 10 fruits that are good for dogs

Fruit is an indispensable food in our diet, but is it also for our four-legged friends? Yes, fruit is good for them too, but not all fruits can be given to our dogs. So let's see the 10 fruits that our dogs can eat without problems, obviously always in moderation.

1. Apples

The apple contains vitamins A and C. It is highly purifying because it is mainly composed of water. It contains many minerals including phosphorus, magnesium and calcium, which are essential for the proper functioning of our dog's body.

2. Pears

Is your dog overweight? The pear will then do for you because it has a very low calorie intake, so it is excellent for dogs that have a few extra pounds! It is rich in fiber and potassium which promote digestion and help prevent cardiovascular problems.

3. Blueberries

Blueberries contain many vitamins A, B, C, E and K and are rich in fiber and antioxidants, essential allies for the health of our dog.

4. Oranges

One or two slices of orange are very good for the dog as they are rich in vitamin C and can be eaten without problems. However, do not overdo the quantity because they contain a lot of sugar, so they should be administered in moderation.

5. Pineapple

Pineapple contains vitamins C and B6, minerals and is rich in fiber. So thumbs up for the pineapple too. As for us humans, even for dogs, pineapple should be served peeled and without the central part because it is difficult to chew but above all because the dog could run the risk of choking.

6. Strawberries

Strawberries are rich in vitamins A, B and C and are usually very popular with dogs.

7. Melon

Source of vitamins A, B and C and of potassium, therefore a real panacea for our dogs.

8. Bananas

Bananas are also rich in nutrients such as potassium, vitamins B and C. They are also rich in fiber which helps the dog to be more regular with the intestines. Obviously, do not exceed in quantities so as not to have the opposite effect and constipate your dog's intestines.

9. Raspberries

These berries are an exceptional source of vitamins C, B, K and valuable antioxidants, iron, magnesium and potassium. However, raspberry contains traces of xylitol, which is a toxin, so it should be administered in small quantities.

10. More

Last but not least the blackberries. Excellent for providing vitamins, antioxidants and fiber. Choose the more mature ones that are sweeter and your dogs will not be able to say no!

Like any other food, fruit should always be given to dogs in moderation. Excellent as a snack or as a supplement to meat and vegetables in main meals.

So what to say? Start the fruit salad!
