The dog sheds its hair based on the length of the coat or whether or not it lives outside. It is a phenomenon linked to nature, however it can also occur for other reasons. Here are the most common causes of hair loss in dogs.

1) WET. The physiological cause of hair loss occurs twice a year. In this case it is uniform and happens when the cold arrives and when summer approaches, yes, right now! Old or damaged hairs go away and are lost to make room for new ones. In autumn they are longer and thicker, with the warm season, however, the coat is shorter and not very thick.
2) INCORRECT POWER SUPPLY. Another cause of alopecia could be linked to a food deficiency. To prevent hair loss, the dog's diet must be balanced and essential, rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids to be supplemented with Vitamins, Omega 3 and amino acids, which help to soothe the inflamed skin and make the coat beautiful, healthy and shiny. 3) ALLERGIES. Allergies are another possible cause of hair loss: they can be triggered by environmental factors such as pollen, mold and dust mites, or due to parasites such as fleas or lice. Food allergies should not be underestimated, which cause annoying itching that the dog tries to remedy by repeatedly and compulsively scratching until spots on the skin form. 4) STRESS. Dogs can also be stressed due to particular trauma and nervousness. The most immediate and visible reaction is the loss of hair in different areas. This is the most difficult to cure and there are no treatments, other than having a lot of patience and being as close as possible to the dog, cuddling him, taking him out for a walk and playing with him. Some pregnant dogs may shed due to the action of their hormones.

Treatment for dog hair loss varies depending on the reason that is causing the problem. Each case requires a different and specific therapy, however good grooming can avoid the onset of dermatitis. The dog's skin must be kept hydrated, so it is necessary to take regular baths to the animal; moreover it is advisable to use suitable tools according to the fur of the four-legged.
